I got the CAI off of ebay and it is really nice expecially for the money. I paid like $40 shipped or something like that...honestly cant remember now. It felt like I gained some but its hard to tell since I did several things at the same time that could have helped with the power. For the money you cant go wrong though.

I would get the Y pipe first, it opens up the top end power alot more, maybe 12-17hp? And all you need to do is get underneath the car and you can do the y piep yourself, no welding neccesary. The ASP revs a little faster(mines auto may rev faster in 5spd ) and you are gonna need a puller and tools to remove the old one, hammer the new one on...new belts.....and I have the CAI from ebay...it works just like it should...I would reccommend buying a K&N filter tho, the filters they come with usually suck. The one Jeffy makes I think he uses some cold rolled steel or some ****... he says that it is alot colder to touch after use than a cheapo ebay one. But the diff is maybe like 1hp from the colder air due to pipe temp, who knows..

I agree with the y-pipe and probably some kind of intake. The y-pipe just bolts on and even a pop charger will pull in more air than the stock panel.
Didn't you say you had an AT in an earlier post? One thing I would do if I were in your shoes is do a full tranny flush and fill, probably with the best stuff recommended in the "fluids and lubricants" section. There are far too many 3rd gen AT guys who have to shell out big bucks for a tranny rebuild.
