get the CAI, it'll give you way more gains than a muffler

Ehh, you can make a temporary HAI for now, and still get the muffler. All together my intake cost about $55. $40 for the 3" cone filter, $15 for having the machine shop trim down the flange.

OHH BUT SOUND... sorry, I'm a guy that must have a great sounding exhaust. I didn't even have my Maxima for a week before I already had a muffler put on. Driving me nuts that there wasn't any sound.

Then I started working on upgrading...LOL

I know it's weird.

I only noticed a quicker wind down, but that was after having all my piping redone to 2 1/2" from the cat. Nothing from when I had the muffler installed.

I would get a CAI because the sound it makes is just much meaner at WOT.

Get a Y pipe!!! Best bang and you'll get a little upgrade in sound. Besides a muffler won't give you any noticeable gain because the y pipe restricts almost everything. I say save money and get a whole warpspeed exhaust.

I like the intake more than the muffler. The intake is only loud when you step on it, where most mufflers are loud period .
