Transmission Engagement, 93 GXE

I sort of have to rock the transmission level a little to get the transmission to engage into "drive". This happens every time. Is this is simple fix? The car drives normally otherwise.

Thanks for any help!

if putting it from Park to Drive to 1st, back to Drive makes it engage-or other ways- I'd consider the "shift lever bushings". They "rot" or "wear" out. Mine did, and shifting to drive didn't always engage drive, without trying the above.

Shift Lever Bushings

Thanks for your reply! When you replaced your shift lever bushing, did you do so yourself? Would you be able to post some instructions?

Thanks
