Bose Audio from 4th gen in a 3rd Gen

Is it possible to put the Bose head unit from a 4th gen max into a 3rd gen? I have a 90' non-bose Maxima and was considering putting one in my car. Thanks in advance

yes to putting a 4th gen bose into a 3rd gen w/bose can be done, however you don't have bose so you can't easily do it.

its not worth it. Most people want to get rid of their bose not add it in. The reason its not worth it is because you would have to run the wires to the individual amps on each speaker, hook up all the relays etc.

ALTHOUGH it may be possible to get a converter that converts the wire output of the radio to RCAs so that you can just hook it up to your amp. The wire output of the bose is a line out put I do believe.

Still as much trouble as the Bose HUs have I would just go aftermarket.

only 1 reason I can think of not to go aftermarket.
Theft, they won't steal the factory radio, but they will steal just about any aftermarket unit.
