Fuel Injector Replacement
Fuel Injector Replacement
I am planning to replace the fuel injectors in my 93 SE in about 2 months – need time to accumulate the $$$$ & buy parts. I want to go ahead and replace other items while I am in there, such as knock sensor, coolant temp sensor, PCV valve, thermostat, fuel lines, vacuum lines and misc. other hoses (coolant, bypass, etc…). Is there anything else I should add to the list of repairs while I have it apart?
Recommendations for places to purchase the sensors and injectors would be appreciated. I would like to price shop since this is going to be a fairly costly project.
Thanks.

you're talking about spending a lot of money at one crack.
the knock sensor is under the intake manifold itself, so don't forget to get a complete intake manifold gasket set.
I sell 95% of what you need on my site.

Come on guys, is there anything I am missing here or anything that would be considered overkill??
What about sources for parts??? So far I have been given one suggestion.
What about rebuilt injectors? I saw at the end of one of the write ups on injector replacement that rebuilts were purchased from directauto.com - lifetime replacement warranty.

NEW knock sensor, coolant temp sensor, PCV valve, thermostat can fail the next day... On my 2gen i changed the alt to be sure based on miles: one yr later that was dead...
Change Injectors as necessary. If rebuilt means that it contains 200k hot/cold/vibration massaged coil, would not touch if given free...
As internetaotomator 'suggested' dont do everythin at once...
There are other PM's u can do for u computing platform =maxima, see my web page to leave stuttering idle behind.
You can buy parts from courtesynissan.com ask for the internet discount (~~%25).
Beck/arnley makes a complete injector kit that comes with all o-rings and insulators for each injector (total of 4), manifold gasket, TB gasket, and power valve gasket. But you need the lower intake manifold gaskets, they are expensive and make sure you get the right ones, make sure you don't get a 'conversion gasket' by accident.
With the KS make sure you get a new sub-harness, this is whats bad technically (corrosion on the KS terminals).
I reccomend buying all new injectors if you want trouble free operation for another 100k+ miles. Also if you coil packs are original, they too should be replaced.
