Just thermostat?
93 max SE VE 3.0
When weather is coldish (40 F or below) my temp guage runs very cold, barely above the bottom mark. When the weather is anything warmer, it runs normal temp (2/3 up the temp scale). I know that the guage is accurate because the heater responds the same as the guage. On cold days I can barely keep it warm enough inside the cabin to be tolerable. Before I replace the thermostat, is it possibly anything else?............air in the system? Too much or little A.F. compared to water? or anything I'm not thinking of? Thanks!

if it's not intermitent, then your thermostat is probably stuck open. if it is intermitent (cold then warm, cold then warm) then you probably have pockets in your cooling system. start your car when it's cold, pop your hood, and squeeze the top radiator hose after starting the engine, if you can feel water pressure immediately or before it gets remotely warm, then your t-stat is stuck open. i'd rule out air pockets before replacing your thermostat though.
