obviously you haven't revved your Max high enough to know the difference. You will not feel a difference with normal low RPM driving.

I think gas milage improves....

on regular driving, but there is no difference in highway miles. thats the conclusion I've heard many of the other guys come up with as well as myself....

ive pushed her to her limits and there is no difference, ive read somewhere that it might rev 500 rpms high or so, what real difference is that? also ive read that switchin on the comfort is a better idea because it delivers more low end revving

Power switch

All it does is change the shift points for the auto. (At least it does on mine) In normal driving it will rev out longer before it shifts up a gear. In hard driving the only difference is it will rev out maybe 500 RPM more before it changes up. The kickdown points also change so the auto is more likely to chop down a gear or too more readily under Power mode.

Any time

Not that I'm aware of. I've often had the car in the standard position then changed to Power (on hills and passing cars) whilst the car is in motion. Have noticed no ill effects.

Brent.

I leave it on most of the time...

since I usually rev around 4k anyways...might as well so the car won't shift around 3k. bascially if you accelerate faster than normal I guess you can leave it in "P"....

I changed my power/comfort setting at any time without any detrimental effect. While parked with the car off, while driving, while idling, while hill climbing..

It just makes the auto tranny more willing to rev to high RPMs and quicker to downshift. In power mode, if I press the pedal about halfway (not soft, not flooring it), the engine will rev a good 1000rpm higher than in normal mode. In the normal mode, to get it to rev high, I usually have to floor it.

The only time I could see probs..

is on a STEEP hill! to me it seems that that would put more stress on the tranny and engine...since you're revving high but only going higher, not straight on a flat surface

The Owner's manual recommends setting it in the center (auto) position. I have noticed that when I set mine to Power, I get a smoother engine. I usually set it to power when I leave the house a few minutes late (and haven't been late to work yet).
