A couple of questions.....

1.) where can i get a power antenna mast for our car? (89 SE) I went to Pepboys & Autozone, they do not carry them. I did not find any in Ebay either.

2.) I'm doing my own ground wires...what kind of wires do you recommend?

...First clean the existing ones...

Copper, the more thin wires it has, the better. "The thicker u can do, the better" (veeery thick are ugly and too stiff).

Any place where theres vibration between parts, make a loop.

If u want perfect connectors, solder some after crimping. Tin (if possible) on the connetor shoe side as ting hardens the wire (suspect to break Under vibration). Seal: Rubbertape on.

Good luck with that. I don't think I have ever seen an intact antenna at a junkyard.

Just fork over the money and buy a new one.

You got lucky. I didn't see that you are from Cali. The odds are probably a lot better there. Good work.
