I think it was an option on some AU or Japan Maximas. I know someone here has them...I think form Australia. Anyway maybe he will chime in and can tell you of a junk yard there you can order from. Be warned it will cost a lot just to ship probably even if you could find them.

problem is that there is not a BC/CC color that will even come close to true chrome.

There is however a paint system that sprays chrome. It is really expensive though.

here is the link to see what the product looks like.

here is a link to the price.

I assume a pint kit would be enough but dont know for sure. Thats a lot of money just to chrome some handles.

hell, for that price I rather chrome my a$$ so someone can see their face on it, as for the poor max owners out there (me included) just spray paint the biotch and spray bottle clear coat it, it could look good if you do it right or chrome stickers

The front door handles are pot metal (or cast aluminum...I am not a metallurgist) the rear are plastic.

About a year ago I had the facilities to coat metal with Palladium (bling bling $$). Now one of the only cool metals I can get access to is Molydenum. Soon though my old lab will have a diamond coater (methane-hydrogen plasma) in full operation, can you say "diamond coated pistons" .

You can sure electroplate plastic.... look into it some more.... thats how a lot of restorers replate all of their interior pieces.
