Body work

Are the front and rear quarter panels bolted on to the car or are they welded. My son damaged both and the body shop wants $1,700. I know I can get the parts for less than $500 and then a Maaco paint job for $500. If they are welded on, then that changes everything. Please advise.

yup rear is a pain in the butt because its spot welded on. If you have done any body work in the past and have a welder you can do it if you take your time. Just cut out the window, cut out the spot welds and find a good spot on the c pillar to cut across. Then weld it back up opposite.

look on my site for pics of my 93 when I replaced my quarter panel.
