I have had my maxima going on 5 years. I bought from a family who bought the car when it came out in 1990. Only thing they had done to it was change the spark plugs and that was in 2000. It was great for the first two years I mean she use to get up quick but like the last two years things have gone bad but just regular things that go wrong with a car with 180k. So now I've gotten new struts, axle and ball joints, tires, distributor, alternator, catalytic converter, mass air flow sensor, fuel injectors, timing belt, ignition coil, throttle sensor, and I think thats it. After all these parts I still don't have the acceleration and power that I use to have. Whats left to put on it and why doesn't my power light come on(there is a comfort,auto, and power option that you can switch between)

 

Maybe you're just used to it now. Go drive an old Vega or some other crappy car and then go back.

 

Power light is probably just broken. All the switch does is make the tranny shift a bit later in power or a bit sooner in comfort. It's pretty useless.

 

my power light works and comfort dosent. run the car in comfort for a day and then put it in the auto setting. may feel a little different. i hate the auto in these cars. i have a 90 gxe.

 

step up to a VE 5spd, like i have, youll love yourself for it

 

...wish I had a 5spd! power switch does make rpm's higher before shifting..no big increase...try the old Vega option mentioned above and then run your Maxima.

In one fast food I did not see cups. Went to cashier: "Please tell me where u keep the cups?"
"cups!?" this young lady shrieked...
"Yes. Please tell me where u keep the cups?"
"cups!?" this young lady shrieked againn...

Oh well... walked aroun tenth time and foun myself. Added some juice...

"Oh. U mean cups!" shrieked tha young ladyas I went to pay "As I said so..." ...still wonder how/why she took my money.

Btw. This was in mother US, not on Wiking-Line.
