Got Clutch?

When I get up in the morning to go to work I go to my car to find that my clutch petal is sunk to the floor and I can't put it into 1st. I have to lift it up with my foot and then it would start working again. I checked my slave cylinder hoping that the problem was that the slave cylinder was leaking (beacuse they're only $20.00 around here). But it wasn't leaking. What could be the problem.

Master cylinder? Mine did the same and it was the slave though. It didn't look like it was leaking but once I peeled back the little rubber boot, it would gush out. If your fluid is okay and there is not leak in the lines, it's the slave. But I changed the SC and MC anyway. I already changed my line to a SS unit already.

I had the same problem in my car. It was the MC. Both the SC and MC are cheap so either way it isnt too bad and they are both easy to replace.

probably master cylinder
I know awsm66 had the exact problem on his car and the MC fixed it. It would fall to the floor the first time but then be ok after bringing it back up

Check to see if it is the SC. It is easy to see if it is leaking you would see the fluid around/on it. In my case it was the MC, I didnt see any leaks around the MC either but it ended up being the problem. $30 for the part and 15-20 minutes to replace. Just make sure to compare the lengths of the rod and dont get any brake fluid on your paint.

ill make this really easy for you since it sounds like you dont have to knoledge to diagnose the problem

JUST REPLACE BOTH

you can get BOTH OF THEM for under 50$ at any autozone

if you do that you wont have to worry about them for a long time

im speaking from experiance because ive reaplce both on my car and on my friends that we did the swap on and im kicking myself for not doing them both at the same time because its stupid to be inconvienenced twice

Just replace the MC SC and the line. Might cost a bit more but it's worth the peace of mind. Hell they lasted 2,00000000000 miles so far right?
