No Heat!

My fathers "91 will not warm up like its supposed to, before I begin trying things, are there any common problems that cause this?
I am planning to replace the thermostat and bled the coolant...
thanks!

mite wanna try looking through the forum first, since this has been posted like 3758237598420375023 times... not to be a hypocrite or anything... anyways, i had the same problem, then i just bled the whole system, cleaned out the heater core, and then i had to replace my thermostat since my car started overheating all of a sudden... so if ur car doesnt overheat, id suggest flushing the heater core, and refilling the whole system, making sure u get rid of all the air bubbles

there are 2 hoses going into ur firewall, they are black, almost right in the middle, one on top, other one on the bottom, disconnect both of them, and disconnect the top little piece from the other valve, and put it on the bottom one, in order to keep water from getting on ur engine, then just put a garden hose to the top hole, and run water through it, until the water coming out the bottom is clean... then reconnect the hoses in their correct places, and it should be good...
