mutated with rust

this is so confusing to look at, i cant figure out how to go about undoing it! the bottom of the image is the cat. converter, the top is where it attaches to the y-pipe. there is a nut on the other side of this rusty nub, but i think it's fused to the flange. should i just use a hack-saw down the middle of the gasket?

and does anyone have a stock VE exhaust... cat+back? (not the y)

I do not full with exhaust's..I know a guy that welds them on and he would just cut that off and weld new on..good luck!
