Engine question for VE30DE

I was wondering, what kind of bore and stroke will best optimize the horsepower of my engine? I have a 94 maxima se with the stock ve30de engine in it. Can someone please inform me a little about this proccess? thankyou

unless you have a boatload of money to throw into it, there are no stroking options that I am aware of.

Why don't you list your plans in a more detailed manner? There are many ways to skin a cat. It all depends what you are looking for.

And if you don't have a few thousand in hand to do this project, you might as well forget it.

No offense but didn't you just post you couldn't get your oil filter off? Engine rebuilding is just a tad more difficult.

He might be having it done for him? In that case he would just need the info to get the parts and whatnot...

True, but as a whole the org has more "experience" with these cars than any old shop.
Perhaps just looking for tried and true setups??

IMHO, anyone that couldn't get his oil filter off, may/may not want to try something like this. But if others want to chime in, feel free.

whether we have experience or not, it's not going to go anywhere if the guy doesn't know what he's talking about on the other end.

we can say all we want on the subject, but if he can't communicate it back to the engine builder- who likely knows more than we do about it already- then we're just wasting time.

If you want someone to build a 300HP Na engine, then call them up, tell them what you've got, how much you're willing to spend, what you'll get with that $5000, and then let them do the work.

Building a high power NA engine will cost you at LEAST $5000. been there, priced it out, everything from head porting labor costs to valve stem seals.

Your looking in the wrong place to 'optimize' the engine, well, atleast for ours.

Best advice, pick up some books on engines and read up

And Cheezer, atleast its a real aluminum kit

imo, for our engines the best route to go is forced induction. you could put together your own turbo setup or wait a little while and see what happens with brian's s/c setup.

^^ Agree with the above.

I bet this might not be feasable anyway... most modern engines don't lend themselves to being bored out and stroked the way (some) old iron V8's were.

Yup.. sure is.. it's a REAL aluminum dash kit at that. bought the metal at a sheet metal fab shop and made the pieces myself- well half of them anyway.

Done yet? I mean after stripping the intake manifold nut(s), KS bolt, asking if the manifolds had to come off etc....
