Rott :(

Got some pretty bad rott goin to town on my fender, and its spread into the treshhold of the door. The car still has about 0 rust, but its creepin under the paint. Think its worth it to hack it off, and weld some new metal in there, paint it black? anyone got pics if they have done something similar about there rott?

I bet if you could show us some pics of your problem we could help you better, it would help to see just how bad it really is.

rott? not sure what that is...but from what you're saying that's called "rust"...so don't say you have 0 rust.

Well the actuall fender is plastic, so that could be like "eroding away" for lack of a better phrase at the moment. So it may not be rust.

uhhh, our fenders are metal. the only plastic on our cars is trim pieces. you have rust damage.

cut it off and replace it if you can. otherwise keep driving and wait till the car falls apart.

If it is your fender you could probably put a new one on. The part below your door, though has to be cut out and metal rewelded in there.

Just watch a few hours of "Monster Garage" and "American Chopper." Or maybe "Chop, Cut and Rebuild." You can do it yourself.
