Engine questions

This is kind of moving on from the window tinting where i got side tracked..
Would a JDM engine like this one give me more power than a regular maxima engine would, or is it any different? Would i be better of going to a junkyard for a new engine? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...951710093&rd=1
Thanks in advance!

HP for "JDM" motor is the same as our "USDM" motors.
I can buy a complete max for that kinda money.

"if you want to go faster you have to spend more money.
Cams.
Higher compression pistons.
Turbo....."
As you said earlier, i dont mind spending too much more money as long as its within reason, because if im going to be going to alot of work to fix it, why not just save up a little more money and fix it up even better. But how much for like cams and higher compression pistons?

I think the cams are in the $300 range (maybe more)
Pistons are same ballpark.
BTW thise prices are only guesstimates on new ones.
Used I have no clue what the pricing is like

Okay, another question then is, should i just get a used motor from the junk yard and spend that estimated 6 hundred dollars towards something else for the car to make it faster?

92-94 SE 5 spd would be your best upgrade on the budget...
