Now that just ain't right. I was gonna paint mine black next month. Can't have the 2 maximas the same color in the St.Louis area that are the same color.

That is a "brush-up" of Awsm's car. He is not in IL. Compare to the pics on the first page. Same "spooky" blur and kid's toy in the background.

nice job...probably a little lighter than that...hard to tell. The color I am painting them is the same color as my dash (on my cardomain site page 15) so that color is pretty close. I am not a huge fan of really dark wheels.

I hope to paint them today or tomorrow while the weather is warm enough.

too late...just finished the base coat and one coat of clear on one of them.

Here is a pic I took after spraying the base and before the clear.

I will post a pic of the wheel tomorrow after letting the clear dry.

I am going to buy some liquid mask tomorrow to finish the other wheels. Its harder than I thought to mask wheels lol. The liquid masking should make it a lot easier.

well I got it out this morning and took the tape off the front to get a pic. You cant tell much because of the other wheel behind it but you get an idea. I will finish the others and put them all on probably the first of next week. I have a pretty busy weekend and will not be able to do much with them then so I will just wait until next week.

I took one pic in direct sunlight and one in the shade to show how the metalics and pearls make it look a different shade

I am pleased with how it turned out and cant wait to see what the car will look like with them on there.

I finished painting my wheels last night. I swear I can’t paint any more because a couple of them have small runs in them...nothing major but I really didn’t want to wet sand and buff at all.

The car is filthy because I feel pretty bad right now (my oldest daughter has the flu and I think I may be getting it) so I didn’t clean it up. If I feel better tomorrow after getting some sleep I may clean it up and take it to the lake for some pics.

I put some spacers on it I had laying around. I only put them on for pics because my studs are not even close to being long enough. I am not going to drive on it with them and risk having a wreck. The wheels are right at where I like them though they have 7mm spacer in the rear which puts the wheels at 35mm offset...the front are 5mm for some reason (I will put the same front and back when I do permanent ones). I had them on an old truck so I guess I wanted the wheels staggered...it been a long time. I think I can clear a bbk with them because I have a ton of room behind them now...of course I will not know until I try. I am not going to buy permanent spacers until I know for sure.

Anyway here are the pics of my wheels painted silverstone.

hehe they look darker in the pics than they actually are . They also look darker because it was a cloudy day and the sun really brings out the silver in them. Its a complicated color lol.

You have been away too long. I am painting my 93 blue. I havent finished with it (still...yeah I know no excuse).

I got the 92 VE5spd in December from a friend in Florida.

Its black though not green...its just a little dirty in the last set of wheel pics because I am sick and dont want to wash it in the coldish weather.
