I put 20s on my max and drop it 2 inches...need help
I just put 20s and because the drop is so dramatic, the driver wheels rubs on a large coil of wires that's inside the fender well, is there any way to relocate it?
you better check that coil of wires closely, if it rubs too much and break some of the wires, you're gonne be in for some serious electric trouble shooting fun, as those wires goes to the different sensors in the engine and transmission from the ECU from inside the car, it also connects the fuse panel to the various lights around the front of the car as well. May I ask what are you doing with 20s? in my opinion, any rims that are 2 inches above OEM is a bit on the ugly side, "they don't look right." Again, this is just my two cents.
I believe its really hard to relocate, since the wires are bound together into a mess, and they are pretrimmed pieces with little slacks for you to play around with, buy hey, if you can do it, more power to you.

i just want to know if the coil can be relocated... the tires not a problem and the rubbing is not that much to wear anything down and i had 20s before but after a long period of time the springs compressed even more.
short answer is no, don't forget when you go bumb bumb... things gets compressed even worst, and you are bound to have rust where the tire rub agains the housing causing whatever rust protection on there to rub off. I hope where you live there isn't a lot of potholes, cause around my area, rims like that are bound be bent and tires are bound to be ripped up.
here's an idea if you want to relocate the wireloom, spliced in each and every single wires and then extend it with electrical cords, solder, and heat shrink tubing. Theoretically, it will work, but just takes alot of time, nerves, and thinking.
Good luck.

dont be a meanie........................
it is impossible to tuck a 20 inch wheel without the suspension being completely bottomed out. post some pics. to answer your question, take your fender off, clip off the clpis that hold the wiring in place, move up on the upper rail of the car, zip tie them as high as possible. thats all you can do without extending the wiring.
edit, my front tire in the picture is on a stock structural front end, with the tire sitting on the top of the strut tower. it just tucks tire there, no rim. the tire is maybee 2 inches tall, which means that if it DOES'NT tuck tire, theres only 2 inches of suspension travel
man, they tell you to drop it, I say lift it. in the rear before i had the car lifted, there was less than a 1/2 inch of clearance between the tire and well which made it seem like it was tucked and many people mistaked them for 22's. i sold the rims now, but i met a guy with a 3rd gen in my city on 22's.No cut no rub. I even drove it(my cousin's friend). It was straight lift. If money is right, I might step up with deep dish dub 2's with spinners. Here's a pic of my whip with the rims. Individuality.

not unless you have clearance issues. if you can drive fine, i say leave it. you wont go any lower with bags, youll only be able to raise it up. and youll only be able to go as low as this without gutting the structure of the car

edit:
my car has hydraulics, bags wont let you lay out that low
yup, check my cardomain to see why/how. i also havent finnished dooing the work, there were some issues, but more importantly i was busy with other things. its really not worth dooing, youll destroy your new paint job, you have to hack up your interior, and the same will go in your engine compartment, i have to finnish dooing it, but if i could go back i would stick with my 18's

on 17's you could be this low, and you would definately be having fun in only a wekend
