here's a pic of a wood dash in my jeep, since the company I am looking at doesn't make real aluminum, I was thinking maybe wood grain? the carbon fiber look kinda funny to me.

i'm going to let my friend try to make me a alu dash kit, but not sure how it'll turn out.

What company are you looking at? I recently saw a company on eBay selling an aluminum dash kit but I didn't know if it was real aluminum or not.

I am going through a company called Madera Concepts whic provides more exotic materials for dash trim than Joshua does. I am planning to get a Black Birdseye Maple kit for my car and they quoted me $100 more than the normal rate since this would be considered a custom job.

You can check them out at www.maderaconcepts.com

If your going for the import look I would try to find an aluminum kit somewhere that you liked bc the wood just dosent look very Import tunish. But if your going for the luxury look the wood kit would kick ***.
