Radio Presets for 3rd Gen

Hey everyone, my 3rd gen maxima is currently having some audio problems and im no pro at audio, but everytime i turn my car off and on, my presets and clock on my headunit keeps resetting, is there a certain color wire or something that i could probably check and Diy to fix it?

first of all, make sure your battery posts are tight and making a good connection. it might also be a bad constant connection. if it's an aftermarket stereo then the wire coming from the stereo would be yellow. i'm not sure of the color of the car's lead. a quick fix would be to cut the wire from the stereo harness (not the car's harness) and crimp on a long enough wire to run to your positive battery post if it is in fact a wiring problem (one that you can't track down and fix).

check your "electron batt" fuse.
