I have a problem that happens sometimes but lately has been happening more often. I turn on the ignition and the car is a bit shakey and the check engine light comes on. I had it looked at and they said it was the #3 injector or something and they would have to specially order the part, but they couldn't get it to replicate the problem. So I just let it be, I have put several fuel injector cleaners in (slick 50, techron) but they don't seem to solve it. Anyway now the problem seems to be occuring more frequently, though once the engine warms up a bit it usually goes away. Thanks for your help.

 

you've got a dead injector with similar symptoms to mine.
I just don't get a CEL though.
I've got 3 injectors, o'rings and a plenum gasket just waiting for my mech to have the time to do it.

This is the weird thing, it comes and goes. For instance, it was bothering me my first two starts today and the third time it was fine. Is it just clogged? BTW I have a 91 gxe w/ 117000. Thanks.

 

--->points to connector contacts: injectors are driven by ECU transistors; all electrons travel -if- through more or less oxidized connectors. Clean.
