In need of serious assistance

The problem is my clutch drops. It's been about 2 weeks since it started doing it. Suddenly today it just dropped and lost all pressure. I remember someone telling me when the clutch dies I can just engage gears without clutching but I cant even put it in gear (while engine is running). I don't know if its the clutch thats dead or something else.

Have you checked the fluid in your Master Cylinder?

Second that...check that fluid.
If its full then your probably have a bad clutch master cylinder or slave cylinder.

I'm going to assume since you are having problems with your CLUTCH, they were kindly referring to the CLUTCH master cylinder.

If you aren't familar with these terms, please read though all the stickies. Especially the autozone online link.

had mines replace about a year ago or so, Its sucked when out the blue i couldnt shift into gears and then the pedal went to the floor and not even viagra can get that up. Replace the clutch cycinder and you should be back to driving.

good luck, just dont try to force the car into gear cause nothing is gonna help it move.

really?? can you tell me you can start the car in gear with out releasing the clutch?? can you answer that? If you know, when you push start the car with manual tranny, you have to push the clutch in so that you can get rolling, then you have to release the clutch to engage the tranny to the engine and will turn over. But once your cylinder is gone and the clutch is on the floor you cannot drive the car, the only way its gonna move is if someone pushed while the car is in neutral. even if you manage to get the car moving and shove the gear into 1st or 2nd, the only way you can stop is by braking bogging the engine, or try to put it in neatrul(again no clutch, force it out of gear) and cause more problems to you engine/tranny/starter

I'd replace the slave cylinder and then bleed it. Slave cylinder should be cheaper than the clutch master cylinder. The clutch master cylinder should be in the back on the driver's side close to the firewall. The one to the left of it, attached to the big canister is your brakes.

yep, mines was leaking all the fluid, culprit was the rubber seal that surrounds the rod that gets pushed in when your need to shift.

Piece of cake on those cars I've had no clutch. Quite tricky with my 9ton RV - life was interesting...

And... If u car dies on higway, battery lasts for quarter mile to move it (1.gear engaged) to better place. Starter is surely on the edge, but what is u life compared to 100$ starter???

Buy auto, let others worry.

starter, later tranny/engine and labor it adds up.
If your not concern with manual trannys and all up in the auto relm, then why bother posting your 2 cents if you dont actually have a solution to the posted question that realates to stick.

auto is a different story, good luck in push starting your auto when your battery dies, oh wait you have to wait for AAA.

Now u are a policeman without badge. What do they call 'em? Ive driven more on manuals than u, I am so sorry.

Tranny & engine does never suffer from rotation...

Autotrannys dont blow clutches, they just collect kilometers - if u got iq to maintain them... peek at: http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/748507/15

repeat after me: buy auto....
