need advice w/ chirping sound!

car is making chirping sounds. it chirps when i leave it in parking for a while and in cold morning when i start the car and turning the heater on. sounded like it is coming from the belts. anyone know of this problem or car is doing the same thing? i'm think of using one of those belt cleaner that come in spray cans. does those works?

sounds to me like belt squeal. meaning one of your belts is too loose. check the tension on your belts.

yeah, that's what i thought too. it sounded louder beneath the car where the belts are located. it's weird because in the [cold] morning when i start the car, i turn on the heater then it make that sound but when it's off the sound stop. chirp chirp...kinda like when you write on the chalkboard with a bad chalk, you know what i'm saying.

mine squealed on a cold start this morning....i just had my tensioner pully and belt replaced.....i did not replace the belt on the crankshaft and power steering

just the belt that connects to the tensioner pully .......it squealed after what i believe is called a cold start and didnt do it any more, what could be a symptom? all over the forums ive been reading the belt could be too loose, or it could be too tight, can some one tell me what to do?

thanks

could be one of many things..
small rocks stuck in the belt, bad tensioner pulley, slipping belts, bad alternator bearings..

It could also be a broken exhaust stud.
