New exhaust next week

I was talking to the owner of a local custom exhaust place about puttin a system on. He said I should put on a flowmaster 40 series and one of the tips that he had on display. He quoted me 250 installed, what do you all think of that price? Anyone have that setup or have heard one?

what are you getting? what size what type of pipe (whats it made of) what type of bends.. is he welding it all on? a "exhaust system" is alot more then a stupid muffler..

250 is a killer price... if your getting a whole new exhaust... headers backl..lol

-but your probably just getting a cat-back,... 250... waaay 2 much IMO

Almost sounds like he's putting on a muffler and tip. That's more than I would pay just for that. I spent $210 having my Ravin Muffler put on. The muffler itself was the expensive part. And spent another $85 having 2.5" piping done from the cat back. The cost of getting what I want. So far that's about $320 just for the exhaust.

You have it pretty good, there's plenty of places around you that would do exhaust work. I only have 2!!!!!!!!!!! Makes it really hard to find a good deal.

$250 for a cat-back with muffler is pretty good, IMHO. WSP's cat-back with muffler is $250 and then you have to pay extra for installation. I'd go with a Magnaflow over a Flowmaster if you can, if only because the Magnaflow is stainless steel while the Flowmaster is mild steel.

Yeah, 2.5" mandrel bent piping from the headers back would cost around $250 alone, if not more. So trying to get all the piping from the header back, and a muffler... for $250... WHO YOU RELATED TO???? Cause I need the hookup

I think the shop probably quoted him on crush-bent, not mandrel bent. It is much less expensive.

A local shop quoted me about the same price ($250-ish) for cat-back 2.5" crush bent with a resonator and a stainless muffler they had with a dual tip. I can't remember what kind of muffler, but he said it wasn't too ricey sounding and the resonator would have helped quiet down the noise, too.

I ended up buying a GReddy cat-back instead, but I don't think it's too bad of a deal.

Then add $100 for a muffler, and $25 for shipping, and $50 for installation.....
