even trade?

hi all Well i decided to do a trade with my max. I need a more reliable car and I am getting into trouble with my little street races....

A friend of mine wants to trade his 97 VW Jetta plus 500 dollars cash for my max.

I know its a SLOWER car but its newer and very nice. I guess its time to grow up.

What do you all think of the trade?

Fair?

Shortie

you should do it, then sell the jetta. vw's have a much higher resale value than nissans. at least they do where i am. get the extra money and buy something a little more respectable than a jetta.

a car change won't help you not race, you have to do that yourself.

i agree with mtcookson even when i was driving my buick century with its 2.8 v6 and fwd i still tried to race every thing that would . i eventually blew out the front pumpseal which in turn destroyed the tranny and cost me the job i was working for but it was all in fun

bad trade. my dad owned a 95 Jetta. it was a piece of sh*t. It spent more time in the shop than it did on the road. A 97 probably wont be much better.

or you could do what shock211 said and sell the jetta and get something better.

If the jetta is nice like you say just go ahead and do it-I would. I drove once a 98 Jetta VR6 Auto and it was fun as hell. I really liked it but I could tell that it's in a totally different class...

I once raced a Jetta VR6. The new body style thats out now. He was mostly kicken my butt in the handling department on high speed. Up until recently I thought they were RWD the way he was handling. But he had some trouble with my VG...
