I was wondering if the actual control units are interchangeable without doing an entire rewire and refitting of the entire car. I know CraigB has the write up on it, but I was curious if the Auto CC would work as the regular CC does without the mod.

My current CC unit doesn't have the lights for the buttons anymore so its a pain in the @$$ to use in the dark. I was just going to get a regular replacement but I saw a cheap ACC. If I got that and plugged the wires in (minus the extra ones for all the other stuff), would it still do its job without the Auto features or would the whole the system get screwed up.

thanks - i figured it was a long shot...do you know where to get the bulbs themselves? I had some bulbs burn out on my dash switches as well, but I couldn't find out where to get them - i just ended up getting a complete switch. Would a Nissan dealership possibly have them?

that's for the bulbs in the switches and part of the climate control. The lights in the sliders are actually LED I think (awsm66 posted something about them before - probably in his writeup for LED light conversion on my how-to page).
