No lights on ECU!

I have a 1993 se VE30DE automatic that runs like crap, skips on a cylinder and shifts at the wrong points. i thought i would check the error codes, and the screw did not change idle nor did any lights ever come on. i tested it on my other 1990 se, just to make sure i was doing it right. so i think my entire problem is that the ECU is not getting power? any input would help!

I'm not an electronics major so my approach to this is to replace the ecu. Junkyard may have one. see the FS section too to see if someone is selling their's.

if your computer was getting no pwer the car wouldn't run.
if you can get someone to lend / sell you an ECM you can test the theory that it's the ECM.
but it probably won't be.

TPS does not leave traces. After warmup period affects only TCU and make s hit of a gearchange.

As internetautomator said, no way to sputter FF if ECU has no pwr. Still ECU has to have some leds working or its at least stupido -state.

Other connectors need ? cleaning if not Done yet...

the ve ecu displays it's codes through the check engine light not through two leds like the vg ecu.
