Front Passenger Side Speaker

The speaker on the front passenger side was not working. So about two weeks ago I decided to replace the two front ones hoping that it was the speaker that was bad. As unlucky as I am it turned out that it wasn't the speaker. I don't know what the problem is (the people who installed my head unit made a mess of everything). I have a radio wiring diagram and am taking electrical at school but still dont fully understand how to read it. I also have two 12s installed in the trunk and two tweeters next to the front doors if that helps. I desperately need help.

Thanks

Yeah totally bypass the factory amps cause they will short circuit your new speakers over time. Hard wire them. Mine work great.

Ok that sounds good, but i have two questions.....

1. If I bypassed the factory amp on both front and back speakers, can I just take out the factory amps completely?

2. Where do the wires go into the back of the head unit (its probably depends on the head unit, right?) ?

1. Yeah, if you bypassed it, you can yank the "amps" out completely, its just a small maybe 4x4 pcb board.

2. Please clarify your question, don't know what you are really asking.

if you are hooking up the speakers straight to the head unit via updated wires, then just look at your HU wiring diagram, it will say which wire color is used to drive the left front speakers, and which will drive the right front. After that, all you have to do is run the new wires up behind the center console and connect to the right wire colors.
