iacv adjustment/cleaning

iacv adjustment/cleaning

Does anyone have a write up or info about the iacv and how to clean it or adjust it? and what would the beneifit be? smoother idling engine?

There are 4 bolts holding it on, unbolt them, disconnect the idle air tube and coolant lines. Take it off, clean it out (Q-tips are handy). Might notice a smoother idle. I would just clean it for the sake of keeping the engine in tip top shape. There is a screw on it that will adjust your idle (side facing the radiator IIRC).

I would buy gaskets for it before you take it apart. Those gaskets always tend to be brittle and break.
