That mod won't make you different...it will however make you a poser. I have yet to see one of those "kits" that produced a qaulity install... Even on shaq's escalade with full airirde and spinning 24's and lambo doors that was modded at west coast customs the doors felt flimsy and like they were going to fall off due to too much weight...leave the doors stock and dump that 800 to 1000 into motor or wheels or interior...something you can actually have fun with...the doors will just get old and you wont wanna use em.

Sure. Needs two hands, Black&Decker, one weekend. And as u then need an airfield to open the doors, installment of a jet on the roof is a must. Doors have then double function, rear doors can be used as flaps (ascend/descend). Gimme picks as it is ready.

I'll agree... it WILL be different. I don't think the seatbelts will be much of an issue because they're on the car itself - NOT the door.

(and as a side note, I hope you've got THICK skin - cuz I'd pretty much bet my Max that this thread won't last the day without you getting massive "flamage" from someone)

yup i agree with this guy. the hinges are really weak....or so they seem. in a heavy cross wind i'm sure it'll be quite interesting sight to see the door trying not to hit the roof or something.

well i was just sittin here in class, and got to thinking about it, for one its way to expensive, plus i wouldn't wanna be called a POSER, but you guys are right though, nice wind would bang the doors on the roof or the opposite, possibly even knock them off(if the wind was strong enough)

Agreed. People have been called POSER for far less than a gullwing job on their car.

here its for the 5th gen i believe. Anyway im sure they understand the wind thing and test for those sorta issues. Pretty sure it would work somehow for the 3rd gen, but its like 1300 bucks and they would probably need a 3rd gen to test fit and all that bla bla bla. i bet if shavdmax did it, he wouldnt be a poser. hmmm

the two downsides to it all is the price and the fact it would be really hard to get in and out off, from all the pics it doens't open up all the way

um are you claiming to have felt Shaqs escalade?

anyway ghostridden, do it if its what you want to do. do not let others call you a poser. who cares what they think. true though that your maxima will look goofy it looks stock.

Well my good friend Matt Mason, operator of www.dfwminis.com actually fixed his leaking busted *** air ride set up at the dallas hot import nights, he has pictures on his server, I could probably provide those if you like. And since he has been minitrucking and building, shaving, and bagging trucks for years I'd take his word for it. If you'd like to see progress pics of his bagged, bodydropped, shot blocked s-10 blazer I could provide those as well. So to answer your question, No, I personally have not opened and closed shaq's doors but my very good longtime friend has and performed repair work on his airride and I'll take his word for it.

Lambo doors on a non-Lambo = stupid.

Lambo doors on a car with 4 doors = even stupider.

To really be unique you should do all 4 doors. Just a thought. Or you could take your graduation money and put it in a nice roth ira and forget you ever had it until your 60 and you realize its worth a million. Then take the interest from that (at 5% that's $50k a year) and put lambo doors on everything you own.

Lol, you'll need to put more than a few grand into an IRA if you want to have a million when you retire.

getting in and out of the lambo door set up is very annoying. a know of a few people in jersey that have them, so i would never want them for my self. i think its just too much of a pain in the @ss

Enzo Ferrari and Benz McLaren have those doors too!

Nah...I totally agree with you and most people here. Lift doors on ANY 4 door car look amazingly stupid. People do notice your car, but mostly to point and laugh! Remaining 1c out of of my total 2 cents is this: Straight lift doors need two things to look good:

1) A pure-bred two door sports car with a personality that goes along with the doors. A red G35 coupe or 350Z would be good candidates for them. A Scion tC however, would not.

2) Windows that recede directly into the roof of the car i.e. NOT into the window sills as in our cars.

Get those two requirements fulfilled first, and then buy the kit! Of course that is my opinion only! Get them if you want, but be prepared to get some odd looks

You should get the lambo doors. Then insteads of leaving the rear doors stock or even lambo doors for those you should do sucide doors for the rear and the convert them to lambo doors so they open backwards. That would be tight! I wanna do that to mine but I'm poor. I'm thinkin about doin' suicide doors, though. Good luck with your project, it will stand out. Do what YOU want with your car, its YOUR car and YOUR money.
