zemulator
zemulator
can someone fill me in like craig david. ive looked around the .org for info but nothin much. what is it actually going to do/$? i was going to go with the jim wolf tech but just want to learn bout the "zemulator" 1st. thanks
the questions you're asking, are the same ones Aaron92SE is trying to answer. He is in the works of putting toghether a zemulator ECU for our VE's that will produce more power than a JWT ECU. He is the person that your questions should be directed to.

i wouldnt hold your breath on it
aaron has been working on getting it to work for a long time and no one knows how much longer it will take
besides the zemulator will require a lab top a WB02 and ALOT of knowledge and trial and error to tune with which if you dont have these things could end up costing ALOT of time and $$$$

Zemulator is a great solution for people who are going to go boosted or hardcore N/A tuning. Otherwise, it really isn't THAT much better (power-wise) than a JWT. It just offers far more flexibility. A JWT-like program may be cheaper for the Zem, but again, when will it finally be finished?
The ZEMulator doesn't require as much knowledge as you think to operate. It comes with a file prebuilt for you, so you aren't starting from scratch like full standalone ECU management systems. Plus, if full ECU control isn't your thing, Ash Powers (creator of the ZEMulator) is coming out with an Ash-SPEC ECU upgrade for 3rd gen Maximas. Of course, there will be dyno proof in the near future. And it will be $200-300 LESS THAN JWT ECU upgrades.
