VG ticking? studdering issues

my VG has a couple of issues. First, there is a ticking noise. it is coming from somewhere in the engine it sounds like. The ticking can be heard at any speed. Any ideas? also it has a studdering problem once the car warms up. When the engine is cold, it doesnt seem to studder, and when its warm, it doesnt studder after 3000rpm, and there are like 2 slight hicups after 3000. any help would be appricated?

i concur with bhunter. if it sorta goes away when car is warmed up and it gets faster with higher rpms its most likely broken studs.

maybe seafoam your engine too.

I had the same problem with my 93 GXE and it was caused by a bad spark plug wire. Look at the engine at night and check for arcing at the end of the spark plug wire nearest the plug.

wow, thank you so much for all the replys, esp. the last one. I figured replaceing wires and plugs was routine maintaniance anyways so i did that first, and as soon and i replaced the wires, all problems went away. and with the new plugs it feels much smoother. THANKS SO MUCH!

Some first write here, some open first their hood. Most do ALL maintenance on time and need either...

I suggest u will not leave your halfway maintenance to that.
