Hey ngthing, I thought that the pipe was supposed to go into a hole close to the battery tray. It looks like your is going into the fender underneath the fuse box. What's up with that?

Did you polish your intake manifold? It looks really clean with a bright finish. Your Place Racing CAI install is much different then mine.. http://members.nbci.com/maxima_se/cai/

Hey Nevin,

Did you use the template for the hole? It looks like your CAI hole is actually like a rectangle. Yeah, I think that ngthing drilled into the fender wall instead of underneath the tray, but I guess it works the same. Is a CAI much better than a popcharger? Don't really know if I want to spend money just to gain only 4 hp, if that...

Laterz.

Yeah I used to the template for the hole. Actually the hole that was cut is an 3.5" oval. Probably the hardest part in the whole CAI install. I have both pop-charger and CAI and from my experience I would go with CAI hands down.. no questions asked.

anyone else have pics of the CAI? the install for the SE and GXEs are different I think. oh, and I didn't polish my manifold, that would be the magic of the camera flash

yeah the hole was supposed to be under the fuse box by battery tray

im guessing that if everything fits and it's functioning you will be fine...i'd hate to see you cut a second hole...do you have pics of how it's situated on the underside?

ahh damn that CAI to hell. it all fits, it's just really right, a 2nd hole wouldn't be THAT bad, it'd look a bit ugly though. I had one pic of the filter, it's up top somewhere.
