Driveaxles

After a few months of driving around with two torn CV boots on my passenger side axle I decided to change them out. Well I didnt really decide to do it, I really didnt have any choice since it was cracking wayyy too loud. I guess thats all thanks to the wonderful abundance of rain and huge puddles washing out the remaining grease in the boots. Anywways, my real question is, is there a difference between the axles on a 5spd and a AT? The one I got at autozone is suppose to be for a '90 maxima but unlike the axle that was already on there, it doesnt have a little plate thing near the end that goes into the transmission.

Supposedly the Manual trans axle have a bushing setup in the middle of it, to help deal with the shock from engaging the clutch. Other than that, I have no idea of any other differences.
