HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.....(wheeez)BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA HAHAHAHA(wheeez)...BWHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Ok, I'm done, oh wait... BWHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

it just unscrews, I do hope you know the "lefty loosy" idiom, but they can get stuck over time, just try your best to twist it left, it will come loose. The **** itself is hardened plastic, so try blasting the heater at it or something to make it expand a little bit, then try again. If all else fail, drill down the top of it until you hit the top of the shifter pole, then soak it up with some WD-40, and do the twist.

someone had this problem the other day. I think the best advice I saw was get a pipe wrench (or big pliers) and a rag. If you dont care about the shift **** then dont worry about the rag...but if you want to save the **** then wrap the rag around it so you dont mess it up.
