Is This True (VTC-related)
I've read in a few places now, that the 'ticking' associated with the VTC sprockets is only a problem on 1992-1993 VE30DE engines. Did they really fix the problem for '94 as I've read, or is this incorrect?
But it is a somewhat cheap fix though right. Is anyone still paying the $1500 when people have been doind it for $400?
Any help is great

huh...thats too bad then
and I'm sure this has been answered in the FAQ (but they're somewhat unorganized), and I'm sure its been asked before, but:
What's the average coset to repair/;replace the VTC system to prevent failure and stop the 'ticking'

Please do some more reading before you ask more questions that have already been answered dozens of times. Thanks.

QUIETING VTC's
I have been using a special BG product called MOA on my 92 se. This stuff quiets them almost immediatly and costs approx. $10/11oz. can. I had about 4-5 thousand miles since my last oil change(I use synthetic). My VTC's started ticking again about a month ago and before the oil change today sounded like a diesel/machine gun. I did the oil change and added the MOA and after it ran through the engine after 5 minutes the vtc's were absolutely quiet!!!!!!
I didnt think what he said was flaming. Some people are a little too sensative.
Sure some people do some flaming but when you have been on here as much as some the questions get asked over and over and over and over etc. lol
I try to help as much as possible and occasionally I come across as flaming...usually when I am in a bad mood and misread because I sometimes just skim the post instead of fully reading it. I usually apologize if its uncalled for though

Its true that after an oil change the VTC may behave a bit better, but honestly oil additives will not resolve the problem of the spring failure in the VTC. You may have something else like lifters or chain tensioners causing noise as well, where the additive may quiet them down.
