TB gasket leak?
I have always had a slight whistle at various points of acceleration....I always thought it was just my CAI, I was looking at my TB other day, and you can see in the corner part of the gasket is missing....when I did my motor swap, my mechanic friend swapped my intake manifolds, and TB....maybe the gasket tore a lil there but it was still good to use? i know he never asked me to get a new gasket. Should I put a new gasket on? is there anyway I can check to see if it is even leaking there ? someone told me earlier to spray some starting fluid where i think the leak is.....and if the motor started running differently then there is a leak....

Nah, that's the CAI.. mine does it too..
When I bored out my TB, it changed quite a bit, and when I installed my TB spacer, it changed again.
What you can do is get some soapy water (instead of starting fluid), and spray it on the TB where the gasket is.. if you see the bubbles getting sucked into the crack, then there's obviously a leak..
but I'm 99% sure it's just the normal sound they make when you have a CAI installed.

water splashes up there and all kinds of other stuff... cars kick up a lot of dirt just above the road surface that you can't see... that's part of the reason I took off the bottom tube on my CAI and just run a WAI.. the filter stays much cleaner up there.
