$24.95 for ebay grounding wire kit? worth it?
Just thinking abotu a grounding kit, becuase I hear that it helps quite a bit.. I'm looking for something that would do the job, yet not to to expensive. Do you think this "universal" one would do the trick?

so youre willing to pay roughly 30 bucks for that "universal" pos rather than buy the $60 one that matt blehm is selling? i mean youre looking at one that fits tons of engines vs a VG specific one. its your money do what you want, but as everyone says about ebay crap, you pay for what you get. Not to mention, there is only praise from blehmco products.

If you know where all the grounding points are and don't mind the FUGLY design, then get it. But I opted to spend more for the Blehmco and am happy I did.

it also helps to support a fellow maxima owner that makes a lot of custom mods. these big corporations dont give a **** about how well it work, the only thing they worry about is the $$

Do you guys think it's worth the $60? And wouldn't in a few years time, they would be just as bad as the stock grounds? Or is it basically just any kind of wire should be able to do the trick, even if it's cheaper, they're both made prettyt much the same way, and both newer material, so unless they used different materials, sealed it off differently, or used older materials, It shoudl do about the same job? The blehmco's are like $130, and I'm not an extreme performance car yet - just want to get something that will noticably help.. I'm considering craigs, the advantages being to help another org member out, and that he has diagrams of where to connect them, but I might be able to figure that out with help fromo the wiring diagrams, and $30 vs $60, is not going out on the weekend 3 weeks vs. 6 :-p (I have no income, and have to budget wisely while in school)

if you clean the grounds when you add your wiring and add dielectric grease you should be good. its 54 shipped btw with a group deal matt put together not $130(i have no idea where you got 130). but go ahead and get the pos universal one and come back and post complaints bout it. you could always sell back that book youre not reading for a class, instead of not going out

Wait, there's a group deal for the blehmco's? I went to their webpage on it, and found it for $130...
The blehmco's seem like they'd be worth about the $60, since they're put together as to lower interference and the resistance, as well as come in neat colors O:-) SO I would assume they'd last the like of the car, instead of possibly 3yrs.
Where's the group deal for them?
(and that was relatively speaking - have to try and spend money wisely, books are for reference in case you finally need them :-p But if I pay $60 and can barely notice a difference, it wouldn't be worth it, relative to the amount of times I could go out... I rationalize purchases :-p )

i got an ebay one....I got mine for like 18bucks shipped...quality was better than if i would of made my own.....there is 2 wires that were longer than needed, but easily hidden.....if you want if to be a perfect kit then go with blehmco, but IMHO we aren't putting on a clutch disc or something important, its just beefing up the grounds....so unless you got extra money to spend get the cheapo imo

No offense man, but where on my website do you find ANYTHING listed for $130?
My ground kits are less than half that, including shipping.
http://www.mattblehm.com/engine.html
and the issue isn't "old dirty wire" causing the problems. it's the fact the factory grounds are done with 22-24awg wire when they should be 16 awg absolute minimum. I beef them up to 8 awg and tell you were to properly ground them.
I've had several people buy the ebay ones and see zero difference when installed according to their "directions". (many of which mention throttle body and strut tower bolts)... Then they install mine and immediately notice improvement.. hmmmmm
