Purchasing a '94 SE....a few issues I need addressed
Preface: previously owning a '99 SE, I know these cars last when taken care of. So I'm looking at a '94 SE for my son. It's pearl white, auto VE engine code. Woman driver, 195,000 miles from highway driving in Colorado. All maintenance records kept. Tranny replaced. Front ranck & pinion replaced. New started, battery etc replaced over the past years. Solid car, no body issues other than a few small dents and paint chips. They'll take $2,400. I don't think that's too bad. So read my issues list and chime in:

Good news, guy called tonight and the tranny leak is fixed. He then droped it off to the place that supposedly replaced the struts a while back. Might even get the struts replaced!
One other thing...the heater takes a while to heat up. Thermostat?

oil leak crank seal 1 hour job easy fix
ps fluid- pressure hose easy fix (could be pump but most likely its the hose)
idle- clean out throttle body and idle air control valve and adjust idle with idle screw adjusterthinger (once you get the car we can help you through cleaning it out) easy and free
electrical- normal mine is proly worse than yours
heat- just and old car maybe have coolant flushed and air bled out of system
when you get the car do a full tune up with new belts, coolant flush, clean out electrical connectors and engine bay, oil change look in fluid section for good oil for non sythetic i like mobil drive clean stuff and use toyota oil filter in stickies, new air filter, fuel filter, spark plugs, oxygen sensor and run seafoam through the vaccum lines
as far as things to look for look in trunk for any rust near driver side strut tower or try and look behind corner of back seat make sure there is no rust in that area near gas filler neck look at exhaust make sure everything is looking good no big rust issues and look at how clean the engine bay is that can tell you a lot about a car and make sure all thing inside car work as far as electricaly like air, heat, vents all blow air and windows all work
i think thats about it that i can think of right now that price seems pretty good but be prepared for any problems 190xxx is a lot of miles for any car

Thanks. No rust. The car is pretty clean overall. Engine bay in good shape. Like I said, all records were there. The people are very nice and want to unload it as they bought two new cars....dealer would probably only give them $500 or something stupid like that. I'll do belts when I do the oil seal. Plugs yes. Oh, and I'll probably clean the MAF. Yeh, the PS fluid was not from the pump but the hose. A little mild compound on the paint, maybe claybar, then some wax...should be good to go.
