you'll need wiring and a switch.
the heating element wiring was surprisingly thin.

What exactly do the heated mirrors do anyway? Un-fog the mirrors if they get foggy? When does that happen? The only problem I have with my mirrors is when it rains, it becomes hard to see, so I wipe them down with a napkin. I never noticed any gains from this heated feature.

when you have a sheet of snow on the mirror it cleans it off real well

Hm, cool.. Thanks.

I just remembered that I got an SE passenger side mirror from a junkyard awhile back, off an SE and it didn't have the heated feature. The guy even gave me $5 off, cause it didn't have it. I seen the VE inside the engine bay so it had to be 92+. Are you sure they came standard after 92?

I had the same deal on the mirror I bought for mine originally.
I paid $50 at a local yard non-heated.
I bought a heated one from an orger for $20

$50 sounds a bit too high. I got my non-heated for about $25 from the yard. Im gonna check out the org from now on for used parts. Very good price on the heated mirror.
