heater/blower

dont really know much about this one at all. ok i live up north and alot of the people here depend on the heat in there cars. like me for example. my heat in my 92 maxima used to work fine up until the other day. now when i start my car it will not come on. before today i would have to either slam my door rather hard, lift the hood and let it slam somewhat, or hit a pot hole in the road in order for the heat to come on. *keep in mind that my display on my car for the heat display is saying that the heat is on "full blast" but there is nothing coming out at all.* but now today those are really not working. i might be able to get it to work if i really slam my hood, but i am assuming that that is not good for my hood.

any suggestions on how to fix this problem or any wires i can check would be great. also where is my heater located under the hood, i looked for it but could not find it.

Sounds to me like you need to replace your heater motor. It is located behind the glove box. I had almost the same problems befor i found out that my motor was shot. I got a est. of $110 for a new motor from napa.

"nothing coming out at all"
What IS 'nothing'??? Air, coldAir, hotAir, cooling liquid to the cabin heater core or what? Please be specific to get specific answers. U speak of wires; maybe thats u blower not working? Myriad reasons for that...

Slamming hood is noogood. Seek out the reason: loose/broken wires, oxidized connectors --->clean, vacuum system leaking --->hoses brittled ends.

If the heater valve is stuck, see for http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/748507/8

On the other pages are 'some issues' for boosting u car/heat/pwr whatever...
