possible rear strut prob?

my max is .5" lower on the right side, noticably in the rear.
and when the right rear tire goes over any little bump at all, its really loud. but it donest sound like my tire is rubbing the wheel well, it sounds like somthing it bottoming out on somethingh else, i just cant find it

im guessing my shock is blown?
so do i need a new coilover, or is this something stupid like a blown bushing?
i dont think its sway bar because its only loud when the wheels go up and down, not during lateral movement.

any info about what i need to do this ie bushings, etc?

brands?
cost?
would it be worth getting 4 new ones? maybe even lowering springs?

(installation is not an issue, i have acess to lift and air tools)

Info: Take out the sagging assy an verify.

Typically any car 'floats' on four springs. If their supports are ok, then normal car stands even. Even if shocks taken out, situation is the same.

Now this nonshock car would be rather jumpy one. For this reason dampeners are installed to get the jumpiness out; struts -shocking what are they called...

So if a s hock goes bad, sagging will NOT result. What results is tire wear, much longer stopping distance [panic break], lots worse handling [even dangerous], noisy, kangaroo gas... and later things break loose: spring coil cut.

If one wants to keep up a car, and be responsible driver towards others [not driving a dangerous killerbomb] the shocks will be swapped at least 60k intervals. Please.

First u must have a plan for u car: how many yrs u gonna keep that? Evaluate its condition first: chassis top/bottom, engine, peripherals, exhaust... Based on that, find one coil from scrap yard or buy all four new. Checkout strut condition, replace all. After that u car will behave totally on another way.

There might be some other issues: take rear strut out first to evaluate situation.

coilovers

coilover shocks are a space saving and expensive gadget where the spring is seated with the shock inside the spring cylinder. dudes put them on their hotrods and stuff for more precise handling.
