Headlight gremlins

I just bought a 94 maxima and discovered that only one headlight works(drivers side). The high beams don't work either. I replaced both bulbs but still no fix.I am not familiar with the location of all the relays and fuses in this circuit. Can someone help?

Get your multimeter out and check the headlights to see if they are even geting juice. Work your way back from there and you should find the issue.

If you have bad wiring, make sure you upgrade so you can put higher wattage bulbs in as a repalcement. The OEM wiring sucks.

Good luck.

Like he said, check for power at the headlight bulb sockets. Try high and low beams. Also the fuse's are on the drivers side inner wheel well, by the battery. Remove and clean all the grounds to the frame, there are several in the engine compartment. One on the front passenger side, aft of the headlight, one behind the fuse area and one midway on the main ground cable under the battery. Good luck.

headlight gremlins still

Well, I checked for juice at the bulb sockets and the pass. side gets 12v on both hi and dim. The drivers side gets 12v on low and 5v on hi. When I check the wiring behind the pass. light with it plugged in I get .005v. I am confused, 12v unplugged and 0v plugged?

Good time for rewire, bright lights. Use the working connector as input.
