Is $440 right for timing belt + water pump?

My water pump is going - and I know they say just to put a timing belt in at the same time to save the labor. I doubt my timing belt ever was changed - I got the car at 142k miles, and the spark plug wires were original.
But I wasn't sure about the timing belt - this is my only means of transportation, and I have no experience - but for a mechanic, is $440 for everything pretty stiff?
It only cost $1200 for the injectors to be replaced.. :/

$440 is about right.

The t belt, tensioner, seals, and water pump are about $200 or so for just the parts.
$200 labor is about right for it, so yeah.. $440 is a fair number.

fair price. i still have to change mine but went ahead and changed my water pump myself. a shop quoted me $300 just to change the water pump. that was insane. so i went off and spent $20 for the new pump and i did it myself. couldn't change the belt cuz i needed the car A.S.A.P.

I paid $700 dollars for waterpump, tbelt, tensioner, cam shaft seals, crank seal. I think some dealers would do just the tbelt for 400 or so, but probably should get waterpump done also.

Roughly $500 here. Timing belt and tensioner bearing. The mechanic also installed cross-referenced gates belts and UR pulley that I provided.

I had my VE engine replaced for $1000
He did the water pump for $250.
and they can do this type of stuff quickly so maybe with the timing belt $350 is Fair.

What's the name of the shop that should do it for $350? Poughkeepsie is only about 1.5 hrs from me...I'd drive that far and spend the day there to save $300...
