Sparco Torino seats installed, plus fixed my sticking out muffler. PICS! 56k death.

After having the seats for about a month I finally install them after getting the right seat brackets. I used them to play Gran Turismo 4 for a while but now I will have to settle with a little stool until I can make something out of my stock seats. Well here are the pictures!

This shot shows the actual color of the seats.

If you guys remember my last post I installed my exhaust but it was sticking out too much. Well I cut the b-pipe and now it looks just great. All I have to do is straiten it out a bit.

He gave me a ride in his car tonight and let me tell you, I could not believe it was the same car. He gave me a ride a couple months back before he went insane with all these mods. Well, tonight he literally hurled the car into the corners and I barely even felt anything. Those seats do their job well. Along with all the suspension stuff and the tires. Exhaust sounded really nice too.

yeah, more info on the bracket. I know a guy with those seats for sale at a very good price, but I don't want to ghetto rig them or pay a ton to have something fabricated.

Car looks nice. I like the muffler a lot and those s14 rims are classy looking. I was looking for those, but found my centerlines first.

Chris, that black latch is on both sides so if you buy one seat you can put it in either driver side or pass side. I got the brackets from a friend who has a merchant acount with ProMotion. The brackets, sliders and mounting hardware is around 320 - 300. Pm me if you are intersted and I can tell him. Oh and those lights that I have in my dash are stock its just a trick of the camera that makes them look blueish.

All in all, it presents a nice look for the interior. Although, I was a bit thrown back by the color differences between your first set of pics and the second set. So, do you plan on "fabric-matching" or "color-matching" the remaining interior (armrest, back seats, door inserts, etc..), or just leaving things as-is?

The muffler looks good, what brand is it? Where did you get it? How does it sound? I need to replace mine and I like the look you have.

You are in Santa Monica? I work in SM, we'll have to meet up some day so you can see my ugly car, and I can check out those seats.

Well to answer most of your questions (http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?t=381833) As for how it sounds; it sounds good, its loud, but streetable. It is not my daily driver so I am ok with it. My friend says it has a similar tone to the WRX when I am on the track.

I got the seats for function not Aesthetics. I had such a work out trying to stay in my seats when I auto-x. These help so much it is not even funny.

I have eibach/tokico and the front is a bit lower than the rear. It looks pretty cool IMO, a little meaner.

Lookin good!

Now you just need an interior that matches the seats. that's my biggest turnoff of aftermarket seats unless you have a black interior already.. even then, my seats have a reddish tint to them now that they've faded a bit.

Reddish tint? They are ruined. I'll give you fiii dolla for them!

I don't mind the mismatched seats too much. I think if have tan interior especially, it is virtually impossible to match and very expensive to have stuff redone. Those seats and brackets are expensive enough.

Cheocwa, you might want to see about 5 point harnesses, if that isn't your daily driver and you use it for auto-x. I have ridden in some hard core off-road rigs with them and they keep you in your seat like glue.

Are the 5 point harnesses not practical for regular everyday driving? Is it because its overkill or it just takes to long to get in and out of the harness?

Black? I don't get it. My interior is tan and the seats are a little bit tan with some grey in it. In person it matches quite well expect for the fact that the front is cloth and the rear is leather. I do not mind it too much because of how sporty it makes my car feel. It would not have looked good if I put black seats in and that is what I was about to do but then I found these.

I have a 4 point harness tucked away under the driver seat. When I get to the track I just pull it out and loop it through the holes. It would not be very good to get pulled over and I am strapped in with a 4 point harness and I have gloves on

grey <> tan
they dont' match..

but there's nothing you can do with the tan interior to make them match either... that was one of my two requirements when I bought my VE...
1. must be a VE 5 spd.
2. must NOT have tan interior!

It originally had grey cloth interior, but I swapped the seats with justin MC.. I sported black lether for a while until I got the Corbeaus.. now I have black cloth up front and black leather in back. the leather is worn out on the rear seats, so I'm going to reupholster it with black cloth that matches the Corbeaus up front.

yeah, that's the easy way..
The grey interior matches those seats well enough too... Had I planned this all from day one, I would have left the grey cloth in there and got some grey seats to fit, but I wasn't planning on going aftermarket when I first got the car. (had some black leather Z32 seats I was going to put in it, then decided to go Corbeau.)

it's a Magnaflow Street series, go to their website for more info.

In my opinion, the seats match well if you see them in person.

well according to thier site, they don't make any exhaust systems for any Max...was that one designed for a different car, or what's the deal?
