my cruise control recently stopped working. no reason, no explanation, it just stopped. could this be a fuse/electrical problem or soemthing else? thanks a lot

 

My cruise control quit working when my speedometer died. I fixed it by hammering the black rubber top of the speed sensor back into the metal housing, since it had come loose by about half an inch. It took some serious pounding to seat it back in there, but they both work like a charm again.
