Okay, can anyone tell me quickly what this is. I have never noticed it before, obviously its broke. What does it do, and where can I find another one, (junkyard only?)

 

Vacuum canister for the VE 5-sp varible intake manifold actuator. I'd do junkyard. I bet many Nissans use the same or similar item

I have a VG and I do have that canister in my car.

 

Okay, I found one vacuum line attached to it that appears to go to a plastic inlet. Also noticed that there is a brass male inlet that does not have a vacuum line going to it, I will assume that it broke off and thats where the two lines go.

 

You will find it on VE 5spd's and all VG's (IIRC).

your VG also has a power valve on the intake manifold.
the only 3rd gen that doesn't is the VE auto.
