ECU- I can't find this thing.

I must be the biggest moron on the face of the plannet. I tore apart the center console, all I could see is the airbag unit (?) w/ the two yellow harnesses. Does someone have pictures on where the ECU is in the SE?

Thanks.

stick your head on the floormat facing the center console (pass side) now slide it up (foward) .. behind the radio dash part. you will see a black plastic piece with 2 screws (one with a cap on the screw the other is a screw/clip) remove them and remove the plastic plate... now you will be looking at the ECU.

I had trouble finding it too. Cheocwa had to point me in the right direction because I kept looking in all the wrong places. Don't feel too bad.

The chilton crap at autozone.com goes like THIS:
1. Take connectors off (never mind where it is located)
2. Open screws (how many, where, its your probl)
3. Lift unit off (Does not? Oh, btw, failed to mention that ALL was for model -99)

lol. On other issuess repeat this as many times as there are boxes in maxima... =bs.
