removing the hood

anybody have a write-up on how to remove the hood?

It's simple. marke the edge of the braket on the hood with a paint pen or white out. Losen the 4 bolts, give a dude off the street 5 bucks to help you remove the the bolts and carry the hood to a location of choice. You may have to give the dude a lil more dough depending on where u take it.

also, dont forget to remove the washer tubing and hood struts

but yeah, it's super easy

and dont let the hood hit you in the back of the head when the struts are off - ask realgoon about that one

once the hood is off of the car you are able to muscle it around by yourself, but its really akward. i just had a friend help me when i did my hood. i think putting the new hood on was a pain since there was nothing to line up with. and when you put it back on, after all of the bolts are in and you think that they are tight, have some one wiggle the hood up and down a little and try to tighten them more while this is going on. my brackets werent all the way tight when i did mine at first.
